Retrieve repository def from the data dictionary of oracle

Postby manuk » Mon Jan 18, 2010 8:41 am

Hello,

Maybe you can help me...
I'm using Uniface 9.3 and oracle 10.

How can I create a uniface form that can retrieve repository definitions (like tables, fields...) from the data dictionary of oracle?

Hi,

load the definitions of the Uniface metadictionary (= repository) with:

.....idf.exe /ins meta

If you want to have a look at the ORACLE internal tables,

just define them as a uniface view.
With Oracle, you may use the Load Definitions Utility,
but I heard that there are somw workarounds needed
because the last database driver does not support LDU any more

Ceterum censeo if CPWR is paid for support, CPWR should provide the support.
