Postby se2mis » Wed Nov 11, 2009 5:07 am

Hi all
with all ur help i have connected my IDF to oracle. i have taken the uniface repository export from informix environment.
i have created the repository tables from the sql's given for oracle. now i'm trying to import the repository export to the oracle DB.

i went IDF utilities->import and selected the .exp file. but error giving
8066 - Copy failed: Open error on input file/table 'D:\oracle\ora90\all29092009.exp'.

Is my steps are OK. !! or is there any method to import the informix repository to oracle.

Hope u can help me again

Hi meththa,

the most common reason for that is that your ASN file
has a redirection for *.exp

If you provide the full path, uniface still applies this redirection and you get a nonsens path.

Just put the following lines BEFORE the *.exp redirection
("if argument has backslash, do not redirect"):

[FILES]
*\* *\*
